Business Critical Maintenance

This is a combined cover proposal with a mixture of business critical and non critical systems. The price quoted is based on one critical system, your main server and six workstations or peripherals on the non critical cover.

The purpose of this cover is to provide assurance that all systems are working correctly and to prevent failure by pre-emptive checking of your systems on a regular basis. If a problem does occur, virus infection, Axe through computer inadvertent deletion of operating system. We will be in a position to quickly restore your systems and reduce any downtime to a minimum.

The monitoring we provide will be performed remotely with a mixture of your systems reporting to us and engineers logging in to examine the correct operation of your services.

Due to this monitoring we will increase our knowledge of your systems and operations therefore we will be better placed to recommend replacements or new equipment purchase. We can undertake the purchase and provide a fully configured computer or you can purchase directly from the manufacturer following our recommendation and we can configure the computer when it arrives with you.

There are fourteen parts included in the basic price:

  • Automatic monitoring of systems and services
  • Manual checks and updates performed by an Engineer
  • Hourly on-line backup of your critical files up to 40Gb.
  • Daily monitoring of the successful completion of your backups, both on-line and local.
  • Monthly test restore of sample files from your backups
  • Consultation on Network and other IT related matters
  • Emergency call out within 4 working hours of its report for business critical systems
  • Design and implementation of a disaster recovery system
  • Test monthly the critical updates on a single computer and then release the updates to the rest
  • We will perform non-critical updates and performance tests annually on each computer
  • We will install and monitor Spyware detection on your systems.
  • Monthly on site visits.
  • Telephone support (office hours)
  • Email support (24 hour)

Our support covers all aspects of your systems including office software and once we have enough knowledge of the same your proprietary systems.

In addition to the above and charged on a usage basis is on-line support, where we will take over control of a desktop or server to perform some action requested by you, addition of a user, change of permissions installation of new software, cleaning trojans or virus, restoring documents, etc. We also include as on-line support negotiations on your behalf with third party suppliers of hardware or software. On-line support is only done at your request and is costed by the minute??, a considerable cost saving over a physical call out.

At the initial contract we agree the number of Business critical and non–critical systems that are to be covered under the agreement, if extra systems are purchased during the term of the contract the monthly fee will be adjusted accordingly.

The protection is not limited to just servers and workstations, but can be extended to include firewalls routers switches and printers.

At the initiation of the contract we will perform a full software and hardware audit providing a unique serial number for each item. We will maintain such data in our hardware database and update it with any changes we find on subsequent visits. We will also install and configure software on your systems to provide tested updating of your systems. We will produce a list of recommended spares to be kept on site.

This outline proposal provides for seven half day on site visits per year. The main purpose of the visit is to perform tests on systems that are not accessible remotely but this time can be used to perform any other tasks that you may require and that can be in conjunction or instead of the tests. This work would not incur any extra charge.

We would charge for any required visit outside of these four, whether it be for installations of new systems, replacement or hardware upgrading of existing systems, training sessions, programming work.
